KITA ALEPH is for students ages 5-7 and taught by Morah Chaya. Classes include art, gardening and baking based on the Jewish calendar and Jewish themes. Hebrew reading and language are a strong part of the curriculum.
KITA BET is for students ages 8-10 and is taught by Mendy Denebeim. Classes are based on an academic curriculum but include various games and art to strengthen the core syllabus. Hebrew reading and language are a strong part of the curriculum.
ALEPH SCHOLARS caters to students ages 11-14. The class is taught by Morah Shaindy with occasional guest lecturers. Over the course of the year, the students examine and study the origins of Jewish ethics and law and compare it to modern U.S. law. The curriculum is supplemented with lessons on Jewish History and current events.
The individual lessons are text based and always evolve into animated, exciting discussions.
This class is geared to motivate middle school students to incorporate ancient Jewish wisdom into their modern day lives. To tap into their Jewish heritage in a practical, enjoyable manner and to feel involved in the global Jewish narrative.
Students come away with a better knowledge of their past and a commitment to their Jewish future.
