Sukkot Continued...

After an incredible Sukkot community BBQ on Sunday, we wrapped up our holiday learning with an in depth look at Shmini Atzeret and Simchat Torah. We had the chance to perform the mitzvah of Lulav today in our Sukkah, decorated flags and spent valuable time with local Holocaust Survivor Minia Lederman and her son Yisroel.

Aleph Scholar students Rylan and Opal with Minia Lederman. Minia and her son Yisroel shared some meaningful memories with our Aleph Scholars. What an incredible opportunity it was for us!

Sukkot Silhouettes!

After learning loads of info about Sukkot we helped build and decorate the Sukkah on our property! We strung lanterns and paper chains and then noticed the sun shining through the canvas which created the perfect shadows. Here are some of our friends posing. Can you guess who's who?

Rosh Hashanah Prep

Word finds, Around the World, Jewish Jeopardy, honey cake baking, bee magnets, shana tova cards - these are just a FEW of the wonderful things we did to prepare for the first holiday of the year!
